Become a Member of the ’23 Club
Become a member of the ’23 Club. Unlike in the origins of the organization, you don’t have to have a lived here in 1923. You don’t have to be a resident of Longview. We don’t have weekly or monthly meetings you have to attend. Being a member gives you an opportunity to learn more about Longview and being a part of keeping our legacy going.
Annual Membership
Annual Membership is only $10.00 a person or $15.00 a family. Just fill out the membership form and send your check to P.O. Box 934, Longview WA 98632 and that is how simple, and inexpensive it is. The annual dinner/meeting the first Monday in October does have charge.
Each year on the first Monday in October, the Longview ’23 Club hosts a dinner and get-together.
Each fall our main program for the evening features different historical perspectives on our city’s history. Recent programs were on “Growing Up in the 50’s in Longview”, “A 1923 Business from Glasgow, Scotland to Longview, Washington”, “Longview Schools’ first 75 years”, Finnish Settlers” “Longview, in the Images of America series” Previous topics have also included the Historic Longview Community Church, Old Westside Homes Then and Now, Longview’s Historic Autumn Splendor, and R.A. Long’s Dreams.
The last few years we’ve had a presence in the 4th of July Parade and taking the grand prize for two of those years. You can follow some of the activities of the ’23 Club on Facebook.
